At Fight Station, we teach more than kickboxing. We build confidence, discipline, and resilience. But real strength isn’t just physical—it’s the courage to talk when things aren’t okay.
That’s why we’re proud to be supporting Tough to Talk, a male suicide prevention charity dedicated to reaching men before silent struggles become crisis.
Why Tough to Talk Matters
Male suicide remains one of the biggest silent killers in the UK. Too many men carry emotional pain, stress, and pressure alone—often believing they have to “man up” rather than speak up.
Tough to Talk exists to change that. Their mission is simple but powerful:
reach men earlier, before it’s too late.
They focus on the root causes—mental health stigma, emotional suppression, and lack of support—by giving men the tools and language to open up.
How This Partnership Helps Swadlincote
Founder Steven from Tough to Talk has pledged that every pound we raise will go directly towards creating “Tough Talkers” in our local community.
“Tough Talkers” are trained suicide first aid and mental health champions working in:
Charities
Schools
Community groups
Local organisations
These are real people, trained to spot the warning signs and start potentially life-saving conversations.
This isn’t just awareness.
This is real, practical, local action.
