Grading Day at Fight Station: Over 70 Students Step Up

There are busy days… and then there are Grading Days at Fight Station.

On Sunday, over 70 students stepped onto the mats to test their skill, discipline and mindset. Juniors, Adults and our Ladies Only programme – all pushing themselves to prove they are ready for the next level.

No shortcuts. No freebies. Just effort.

More Than Kicks and Punches

Grading isn’t about showing off your best roundhouse. It’s about demonstrating growth.

Technique under pressure

Focus when tired

Respect throughout

Resilience when it gets tough

For many of our juniors, this was their biggest test yet. Lines were longer. The room was fuller. The atmosphere carried that electric mix of nerves and excitement. And yet, the behaviour and respect shown throughout the day was outstanding.

To the parents – thank you. Events like this run smoothly because of the culture we build together. Patience. Support. Encouragement. That’s how leaders are raised.

Adults & Ladies Only: Raising the Standard

The adult gradings were just as impressive. Strength has increased. Conditioning has levelled up. Technique has sharpened.

But what stood out most? Belief.

Every grading cycle we see something powerful: people who walked in months ago unsure of themselves now moving with confidence and intent. That transformation – physical and mental – is why Fight Station exists.

Belts matter. But personal growth matters more.

70 Students. One Standard.

With over 70 students grading, you can imagine the level of detail required in assessing each performance.

Results are now being carefully reviewed. I’ll be sitting down with the coaching team to ensure every decision is fair, consistent and aligned with our standards.

Please allow up to two weeks for results to be finalised.

Yes, the wait is tough. But standards are what protect the value of every belt worn at Fight Station.

If any student needs to revisit a specific element, we’ll get that handled quickly and professionally. No one is left behind – but no one is pushed through unprepared either.

Progress is earned.

The Real Win

Grading Day is intense. It stretches people. It exposes weaknesses. It builds character.

And that’s the real victory.

Win or revisit, every student who stepped onto the mats on Sunday has already levelled up in one way or another.

Now we wait.

And then we celebrate the next chapter of their journey.

If you’re reading this and thinking about joining us, remember: every black belt started as a nervous beginner on grading day.

Your journey could start with a free taster session...

See you on the mats.
